WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH: Honoring Black Women’s Economic Power

Updated: Apr 1

Women’s History Month is a time to reflect on the resilience, brilliance, and leadership of all women who have shaped our communities. As the Executive Director of ABEP, I recognize the undeniable impact of Black women in economic justice, entrepreneurship, and community development.

Black women have always been at the forefront of economic empowerment, from the trailblazers of the Civil Rights Movement to today’s business leaders breaking barriers. Yet, systemic challenges persist, making it crucial to invest in financial literacy, economics, and equitable opportunities. At ABEP, we champion these efforts by providing resources that amplify Black women’s voices and ensure financial sustainability for generations.

This month, let’s celebrate the legacy of women who build, uplift, and transform. Their contributions are not just history - they are the blueprint for a more empowered future. Together, we honor their work and commit to continuing the fight for economic justice.
