FINANCIAL EMPOWERMENT CENTER (FEC)

Financial Empowerment Center (FEC)

The Financial Empowerment Center (FEC) helps you gain clarity, confidence, and control over your finances. Whether you’re managing debt, trying to budget, building credit, or thinking about entrepreneurship, the FEC offers practical support you can actually use.

Through personalized financial coaching and access to trusted resources, the FEC helps individuals, families, and business owners make informed financial decisions and work toward long-term stability.

Beyond Table Talk

Beyond Table Talk is the FEC’s monthly conversation series designed to help you better understand money and real-life financial challenges.

Each 1-hour session focuses on a timely or often overlooked topic and features knowledgeable panelists who share insights on areas like entrepreneurship, credit, real estate, taxes, health, and behavioral finance. These conversations are interactive, relatable, and focused on giving you tools you can apply right away.

ABEP & Arise Community Credit Union

The FEC is an initiative of the Association for Black Economic Power (ABEP), the organization that helped launch Arise Community Credit Union, Minnesota’s first Black-led credit union.

Together, ABEP, the FEC, and Arise CCU connect financial education with access to safe, community-based banking. This means clearer pathways to saving, borrowing, and building financial stability — not just learning about money, but having places to put that knowledge into action.
